For Organizations

Bring teams together through applied improv and experiential activities that build authentic connection, psychological safety, and collaborative problem-solving skills in an accessible, judgment-free environment. My interactive keynotes and hands-on workshops create lasting workplace trust and morale while participants laugh, play, and develop practical skills they can immediately apply to their daily work.

These offerings can be formatted as keynotes or workshops.

“Howard is a wizard! His ability to break the ice and make everyone in the room feel welcome and comfortable is incredible. You leave his workshop feeling free, open to possibilities, and ready for change! I can't recommend his workshops enough.”

Workshops and Keynotes

Building Workplace Connection and Trust through the Lens of Improv Theater

To be successful on stage, improvisers practice and learn the skills of being positive, saying yes to all possibilities, collaborating to solve problems, listening deeply, being in the present moment and developing trust with their team.  All these skills also apply to building community and creating a sense of belonging at work, something that is essential to high staff morale and retention rates.

This workshop will focus on “Applied Improv”, using simple, easily accessible theatre games and activities, played with partners right in the audience. Together, we'll explore how the skills we practice transfer to daily work life. Learn to build trust and deepen connections with your colleagues all while laughing and having fun!

Creating safety and engagement is Howard's specialty. This workshop is filled with joy and will be accessible to everyone. No experience necessary and no one is expected to act in front of the group.  Come have fun and build skills to take back to your organization.

An Interactive Leadership Intensive using Play, Teambuilding, and Improv

What creates a truly successful well-functioning team? - The ability to listen and respond creatively, work collaboratively, and say yes to all possibilities. Also learning to trust your intuition while using effective critical thinking to solve any problem; all skills learned while engaging in improv theater.

This highly informative and laughter-filled leadership-intensive will have everyone engaged in simple play activities, team-building initiatives, and improv theatre games. The exploration and then first-hand experience of connection, joy, and playfulness, reminds us how important it is to establish lasting, caring and meaningful relationships with all members of a learning community.

Connection Before Content

We as social animals need connection, safety, trust, joy, belonging, discovery and challenge to thrive. But how is true connection created? Through deep listening, shared experiences, being curious and interacting with each other. All of these are only possible when people feel connected and safe in the group.

Whether in a staff meeting or lesson in the classroom, everyone benefits and is more ready for learning content when there is a connection. This keynote will emphasize how to use simple team building  exercises, energizers, shared stories, good questions and play to create connection and build trust.

Playfulness, Engagement and Gratitude

The simple process of connection that everyone needs: creating connections and building trusting relationships through team building, improv or play experience. When you sprinkle in some gratitude and a chance for people to share; voila magic happens .

A basic principle in all areas of learning is it is important to create connections before delivering content, making sure people are ready to receive knowledge.

We need connection now more than ever. Contact me to custom design a workshop that helps build connection and boosts morale for your staff.
